Bugs and a very hungry caterpillar

There have been so many creepy crawlies at playbox recently. We played with spiders in our outside sandpit and made delicious spidery biscuits for our snack. We also had a bug factory where we made some bugs of our own.

We’ve really enjoyed the story of a the Very Hungry Caterpillar and made our own caterpillars and cocoons. We also had some real life caterpillars of our own which got bigger and bigger until they became cocoons and then beautiful butterflies! We watched our butterflies fly off into the sky when we let them loose in our outside area.
